A Romantic Fall Wedding
Our founder, Susannah Eig-Gonzalez, added the “Gonzalez” to her name in November 2019 at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia. Below we’ll give you all the details on her and Gustavo’s storybook wedding.
Susannah’s dress, from Chic Parisien in Coral Gables, FL, was an Ines Di Santo silk mikado gown with a drop waist. The asymmetrical bow at the back was a custom addition for Susannah. The Bride’s favorite feature of the gown? Pockets!
Susannah and Gustavo decided to tie the knot 20 minutes from the Bride’s family home in Waterford, VA. While many couples opt to hold their ceremonies outside on hills overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, Susannah and Gustavo felt that the intimate industrial space provided by the Tank Room was perfect for their half-Jewish, half-Catholic ceremony.
The Bride’s parents gifted Tiffany’s cufflinks, symbolize new beginnings, to Gustavo to accompany his tux.
Rather than opt for specific colors for the wedding party, Susannah and Gustavo chose to keep things natural and reminiscent of the landscape surrounding the winery.
The stunning florals were designed by Lori Tran of Wild Green Yonder.
During the ceremony, officiated by Susannah’s brother-in-law, the couple stood under a Chuppah, which had been hand-embroidered by Susannah’s aunt.
The couple also offered “kippahs” and Buddy Poppies, in honor of Susannah’s grandfather who served in WWII, along with their programs.
Embracing Virginia’s natural landscape became essential to Susannah and Gustavo, and so they hired Bluewater Kitchen, who specializes in locally sourced ingredients, to cater the event.
In addition to a scrumptious wedding cake from Scout’s Bakeshop, apple cider donuts and heart-shaped ice cream sandwiches were served as a late night snack.
Family and friends danced until late into the evening and then got wild with a Latin custom called “La Hora Loca” (translation: The Crazy Hour) before wishing the couple goodnight.

Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.
Your organization’s wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking what
theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)
I just launched my small businesses site –also built in wordpress like yours– but
the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.
In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.
Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!
